It’s now halfway through November and I’m finally getting around to sharing my sixth income report!
October was a big month for the blog, not because of income, but because I learned a lot about what it means to really run a business not just a blog.

I spent a lot of time thinking through my revenue strategies and where I want to be a year from now, and I realized that there are some much-needed changes.
You’ll likely begin to notice these changes over the next few months, but I’ll go ahead and share the biggest one here: I now offer Pinterest management services!
Through Pinterest, I was able to grow my blog from 0 pageviews to 5,000+ pageviews within 4 months of launching.
As I’ve interacted with other bloggers and online entrepreneurs, I’ve realized that there are so many people who would love that kind of traffic from Pinterest. So why not help them out?!
I know that I have the skills to drastically increase traffic from Pinterest (because I’ve done it), so I know that I have the ability to make a difference in someone’s business.
If you or someone you know is looking to up their Pinterest traffic game, feel free to check out the Pinterest services I offer: Pinterest Virtual Assistant Services
Also, I will be announcing an end-of-the-year special over on my Facebook page, so go like the page to be the first to get all the details (or if you just want to be kept in the loop in general)!

October 2018 Goals
Write 8 blog posts
Fail: 4 posts
Yep… not even close.
As I mentioned above, October was a busy month with strategizing and really thinking through the best direction for Jamimico. Because of this, I didn’t spend too much time actually creating content, which may be okay.
Create and curate a total of 35 personal Pinterest boards
Fail: 27 boards
I definitely worked on this in October, but didn’t quite make the goal.
At the beginning of the month, I had 18 boards, so I was able to create and curate 9 more.
I was also approved for Tailwind’s smartloop beta, and, towards the end of the month, started figuring out how to use that to my advantage when creating new boards.
I’ll have to say that Tailwind has been more helpful and time-saving than I ever imagined it could be.
Create 30 new pins
Fail: 11 pins
This may be a goal that I gave myself permission to fail. By acknowledging that this goal would be difficult (very difficult) to meet, I subconsciously told myself it would be okay to not meet this goal.
I ended the month with 66 pins total. I’d like to get this number up to 100 as quickly as possible to have a good amount of content to feed my Tailwind smartloop. Right now, I’m pinning approximately 18 pins a day, but I’d like to get that number up to around 30.
My Business Goals for November 2018
Drill down on Pinterest strategy
My first goal for this month sounds a little vague, but I promise it’s not.
I spent some time in October creating an ideal Pinterest strategy, which I’m now testing out this month.
I’ve done a lot of experimenting with Pinterest in the past, but I generally went all in on one extreme strategy or another instead of taking (what I think is) the best of each strategy.
For example, in October I decided to go all in on personal boards and more or less neglect group boards.
I removed myself from a lot of high performing group boards because I heard that vague group boards would hurt my Pinterest traffic. However, I quickly realized that the pin that was driving the most traffic from Pinterest was doing so because of the “vague” group boards.
What I’ve learned is that every pin will perform differently with each strategy. For some of my pins, the best strategy is to pin them to highly keyworded boards and increase their Pinterest SEO. But for others, the best strategy is simply to get them in front of the most eyes possible, regardless of which board they’re on.
Get first Pinterest management client
This is a big goal for me and I would be so happy to accomplish it!
Finding clients is definitely one of the most challenging things I’ve done in my business so far, not just because I don’t know how to find them, but also because I have so many fears around this big step in my business.
For the first time since I started Jamimico, I’ve had to really address my fears – understand what they are, why they’re there, and how to work through them.
Natalia Crawford, a business and online marketing coach, recently shared a post on Facebook that said “Entrepreneurship is the art of overcoming your fears.” I love this and I’m realizing now more than ever just how true it is!
As I’m learning to overcome my fears, I’ve decided to do something that scares me (a lot) and offer a special holiday deal on my Pinterest services. Like I mentioned above, you can like my Facebook page to be the first to get the details!
October 2018 Traffic
Pageviews: 4,930 (down from 5,848)
Email Subscribers: 27 (up from 22)
Pinterest Followers: 352 (up from 289)
Facebook Page Likes: 3
As you can see, my traffic was down a little again this month, but still hovering around 5,000 pageviews.
I gained some new email subscribers and Pinterest followers and… I started focusing on my Facebook page!
My Facebook page currently has 3 likes (and I’m pretty sure 2 of those are me), so head on over and show me some love! It’s a little bare now, but I’ll definitely be adding some great content over the next couple weeks.
Here’s a look at my blog traffic for the month:
October 2018 Income
Amazon Affiliates: $7.35
Income was much lower in October, and I learned that income isn’t guaranteed by pageviews. While pageviews only dropped about 16%, income dropped by over 75%.
In many ways, the inconsistency in income made me realize that I have to have a better plan. That’s where Pinterest management comes into play!
October 2018 Expenses
No expenses. October’s Tailwind payment was still covered by the credits I had, but I’ll have to start paying for it this month, which means I HAVE to make more money. Making more money than I’m spending is a non-negotiable, and Tailwind has been so helpful that I’m not really willing to give it up.
One Last Note
So, that’s it – my sixth income report!
I love that I’ve now been blogging for six months… makes it feel so official! I have to say that I hoped I’d be further along with the blog by now, but I’m also really proud of how much I’ve learned in just six months.
To start from nothing and create a website that regularly brings in around 5,000 pageviews each month is no easy feat and has required a lot of hard work, but is so incredibly worth it. I love running my own business and can’t wait to see what the next six months hold!
P.S. Don’t forget to go “like” my Facebook page!
